Reading & Phonic Schemes

Reading Scheme
We do not use any one specific Reading Scheme because we do not want the children to get too dependent on a particular style. Instead we use a range of schemes and group the books into bands of similar difficulty. The books are colour coded for difficulty. Children are expected to read daily and we ask parents to write comments in their child’s Reading Diary Log.
